Prime lenses are specifically designed to provide the highest quality photos. Due to their intricate optical structure, prime lenses generally offer incredibly detailed and sharp images, fewer visual aberrations e.g. colour fringing or distortions, and enhanced control of depth of field when compared to zoom lenses.
