Unrivalled 4K Detail

The Canon CR-N700 PTZ camera is designed for professional studio productions and live event broadcasting. The 1-inch CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV7 image processor captures superb 4K footage at a smooth 60fps. Thanks to 12G-SDI and HDMI connectivity you can deliver 40K60p footage in vibrant 4:2:2 10-bit colour depth without dropping image quality.

A 9-blade aperture with an f2.8 to f4.5 range lets filmmakers shoot beautiful imagery in any light condition. When shooting in near darkness, the Night Mode utilises the built-in IR cut filter to still be able to capture quality footage.

Intelligent Zoom Lens

Capture any subject in crystal-clear clarity with the high-performance zoom lens. It covers a wide 8.3-124.5mm focal length range (35mm equivalent) and has a 15x optical zoom and a 30x advanced zoom when shooting in HD. Canon’s own Image Stabiliser ensures broadcasters always capture smooth footage when shooting from a distance at sports and action-packed events.

This PTZ camera also comes with a Dual Pixel CMOS AF system that uses every pixel in the imaging sensor to detect focus. With advanced EOS iTR AF X, the camera uses deep learning autofocus technology to lock onto a subject’s head and track them as they move, even if they turn their face away from the camera. Eye Detection AF provides greater focusing precision and Face Priority AF allows operators to target a specific subject in a group.

Effortless Workflow

The CR-N700 supports multiple protocols to seamlessly integrate with existing workflows and other production ecosystems. This PTZ camera features SRT and NDI|HX protocols for streaming high-quality 4K video, while FreeD can be used when working with virtual productions. Thanks to Canon’s own XC protocol, the CR-N700 can be integrated with Canon Cinema EOS cameras (such as the C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III) for versatile set-ups.

On the back of the camera is a terminal full of connectivity options. Broadcasters can stream video through 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI or IP for different project requirements, and dual XLR audio inputs are available for capturing professional sound. Users can also find SD and microSD card slots and a LAN port.

Flexible Control Options

Just like the other Canon PTZ cameras, this latest addition offers numerous intuitive control options. Operators can capture powerfully cinematic imagery thanks to the advanced drive mechanism which allows precise movements at speeds of 0.1° per second. For distanced control, the CR-N700 is compatible with the Canon RC-IP100 controller and Canon Remote Camera Control Application controllers - as well as selected third-party controllers.
