20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 5+
The high performance EOS 70D combines a 20.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and a powerful DIGIC 5+ image processor to deliver 14-bit images that are packed with detail and clarity. Colours are reproduced accurately whilst tonal gradation is subtle and natural.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF
The EOS 70D is the first camera to feature Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, enabling fast and smooth autofocus tracking whilst shooting movies. Each pixel features two photo diodes that can be read independently during autofocus or together to capture the image.
