The Canon RF 800mm F5.6 L IS USM Super-Telephoto Lens lets you lock on to distant subjects with ease and puts them right in the centre of your frame. With a staggering 800mm reach, this lens offers one of Canon’s longest ever focal lengths and continues to push the boundaries of the RF lens range.
Alongside the benefits of this enormous focal range is Canon’s industry-leading optical technology. The lens is constructed with 26 elements in 18 groups, including Fluorite, Super UD and UD elements that are used to significantly reduce optical aberrations for outstanding definition and colour accuracy. The Air Sphere and Super Spectra Coatings work to enhance image quality a step further by maintaining high contrast whilst reducing lens flare and ghosting in brightly-lit conditions.
Even with the extra optics in the Canon RF 800mm F5.6 L IS USM super-telephoto lens, Canon maintains an incredibly close 2.6m minimum focusing distance with a maximum magnification of 0.34x. This is less than half the distance of other 800mm f/5.6 lenses and allows subjects to be captured over a greater range of distances.

On top of this incredible reach, the Canon RF 800mm F5.6 L IS USM Lens also benefits from a USM Autofocus system. This lens comes equipped with a powerful Ultrasonic Motor that is designed to provide fast, accurate, and near-silent autofocus performance that captures stunning fleeting moments. A focus range limiter is also provided to improve autofocus responsiveness by constraining the usable focusing range and minimising mishaps so you always get the shot.
Complementing the first-class autofocus system is Canon’s powerful image stabilisation technology that provides up to an impressive 4.5 stops of camera shake for sharper images and reduced blur. This IS technology makes it possible to use the Canon RF 800mm F5.6 L IS USM Lens for monopod-based shooting and handheld.
Please Note: Due to the length and size of this lens, the in-body image stabilisation and Coordinated IS from the EOS R-series is not supported.

The Canon RF 800mm F5.6L IS USM Lens also has a host of custom options to give users more creative control. Using the focus preset function, users can immediately recall up to two focus presets for a much quicker setup. The lens also benefits from variable speed manual focusing with three options, full-time manual focus support for making adjustments without switching modes and a customisable AF stop button to give you the flexibility you need.
Users can take customisation a step further by utilising a range of optional compatible accessories. The Canon RF 800mm F5.6L IS USM Lens is fully compatible with both the RF 1.4 x or RF 2 x extenders for an even greater focal range, a variety of 52mm drop-in filters and lens hoods that help control the flow of light.

Significantly reduced in size from their EF counterparts, the RF 800mm F5.6L IS USM is Canon’s lightest and shortest 800mm L-series lens yet, weighing just over 3.1kg and measuring just over 43cm long.
Of course, as a Canon L-Series lens, it is built to the highest possible standards and offers intuitive handling and professional reliability. The lens is fitted with a built-in rotating tripod mount for attaching to a monopod or tripod, as well as allowing for quick transition from vertical and horizontal shooting orientations.
It's finished with a distinctive heat-resistant white paint finish and is weather-sealed for use in adverse weather conditions. The front and rear lens elements also feature a fluorine coating that helps to repel moisture, dust and debris, as well as making it easier to clean in general.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
