Precision Positioning

The DJI Inspire 3 drone is a powerful piece of machinery featuring nine sensors in total, including four fisheye cameras, one on each landing arm, and a further 360 cameras for upward and downward viewing. It also has a downward-facing time-of-flight camera to accurately measure the distance from the ground, keeping landings precise and avoiding any objects in the way.

The RTK (real-time kinematic) positioning system provides centimetre-level tracking in conjunction with GPS. Its stacked ceramic design is integrated into its body and allows multichannel positioning for several features. With this advanced technology, the DJI Inspire 3 provides drone pilots with highly accurate navigation and pinpoint tracking even when planned routes take a new course.

Seamless Connectivity

The DJI Inspire 3 drone uses a DL lens mount compatible with DJI's existing lenses to open up the possibilities when using existing and future lenses. Each DJI lens is crafted from monocoque carbon fibre, providing a lightweight yet robust solution.

The Dual Battery design uses two TB51 batteries to add to this drone’s impressive credentials. The TB51 batteries are smaller, lighter, and boast a higher voltage than their predecessors, the TB50. As a result, users can benefit from a maximum flight time of up to 28 minutes. And, with an auto heating feature for environments below 18° C and the ability to operate in temperatures as low as -20° C, this drone is ready for any climate.

Long Range Compatibility

Equipped with the O3 Pro Video Transmission System, The DJI Inspire 3 offers incredibly long-range compatibility. With this system, the single control mode has a maximum transmission range of 15 kilometres (12 kilometres in dual control). It also provides 1080p resolution at 60 frames-per-second (FPS) through both its gimbal camera and first-person view (FPV) camera, with an ultra-low latency of 90 milliseconds. At a maximum 5-kilometre range, the system enables 4k resolution at 30 FPS for UHD recording and monitoring.

Intuitive Control

The DJI Inspire 3 drone comes with the DJI RC Plus wireless controller with a 7-inch, 1,200-nit screen. It has HDMI output and intuitive, tactile controls, giving you a 3.3-hour runtime. It is also compatible with the DJI Pilot 2 App, which allows you to monitor and control your drone. The package also includes a wrist strap and waist support, allowing you to use your RC Plus for extended periods.

The drone also comes with the Waypoint Pro App that enables you to revisit frequently used routes and master 3D dolly movements. It also includes Spotlight Pro, a subject-tracking feature for people and vehicles, operated using the Tapfly Controls and has both ‘free mode’ and ‘follow mode’.

Know the rules!

From November 2019, the minimum weight requirement to register a drone with the CAA is 250 grams. However, commercial drone use also requires additional qualifications. Holding these qualifications doesn’t mean you can fly your Inspire 3 anywhere. Make sure you know the rules and consult the Drone Code before you fly, and if you want to fly commercially, you need to take the PfCO CAA exam (Permission for Commercial Operations).
