The Fly More Combo

The Fly More Combo is a purpose-built kit to keep you flying for longer. The kit features three batteries in total that if used in succession can provide around an hour and a half of flight time. Should any damage occur on your propellers, the Fly More Kit also includes three pairs of propellers and additional screws so that should there be an accident, you’ll be up and flying in no time.

In addition to the extra batteries and propellers, the Fly More Kit comes with a Two-Way Charging Hub that can charge up to three batteries in sequence and can be used to store and transport batteries. It can even act as a power bank to charge your mobile device. Have a Safe Flight

The Mini SE shares several smart features with its Mini II sibling. These features are put in place to ensure a safer flight for you and your drone. Something especially useful for first-time flyers. There’s the Smart Return to Home (RTH) feature that allows you to recall the drone back to the starting point at any time. Just tap the RTH button on the remote or the DJI Fly app and the drone will make its way back to you.

Making set up all the easier is the automatic takeoff function that launches the drone into the air itself and in turn, frees up the hassle of having to manually launch the drone. The SE or Mini 2?

So what is best for me? While there are many similarities between these two drones such as their powerful cameras and impressive level 5 wind resistance, these drones are aimed at two different types of users. The Mini 2 with its slightly extended flight range, higher resolution and upgraded camera, is aimed at more experienced drone users or those who require these extra features.

While the DJI Mini SE doesn’t have these functions, this drone isn’t intended for advanced users. It’s still a highly advanced and impressive piece of kit that can easily equip beginners and hobbyists with the opportunity to capture elevated photos and videos. Do I need a drone licence?

From November 2019, the minimum weight requirement to register a drone with the CAA is 250 grams - Technically this means that the tiny drone can be flown without registration. However, qualifications are still needed for commercial drone use and even then, this doesn't mean you can fly your Mini SE anywhere. Make sure you know the rules and consult the Drone Code before you fly, and if you want to fly commercially, you need to take the PfCO CAA exam (Permission for Commercial Operations).

Does DJI Mini SE have internal storage? Can I install a MicroSD card?

There is no internal storage - You will need a microSD card to store photos and videos. You can use 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256BG microSD cards.

Is DJI Mini SE waterproof?

The DJI Mini SE is not waterproof. Flying in adverse weather conditions can cause damage and will be unsafe to fly in.

Does DJI Mini SE support obstacle sensing?

The DJI Mini SE does not support obstacle sensing. It’s recommended that you fly with the 360° Propeller Guard to protect the propellers fully and improve flight safety.

What is the maximum mobile device size supported by the DJI Mini SE remote controller?

6.5-8.5 mm in width, shorter than 160 mm in length, and a protective case is not recommended. Mobile devices larger than these dimensions are not supported.

How often do DJI Mini SE propellers need to be replaced?

Always check propellers for cracks, wear, warp, corrosion, and loose screws before any flight. If any damage is present, the propellers should be replaced.

What DJI Mini 2 accessories can be used with DJI Mini SE?

The DJI Mini SE Intelligent Flight Battery, propellers, Two-Way Charging Hub, and 360° Propeller Guard are compatible with DJI Mini 2.

How is DJI Mini SE different from DJI Mini 2 in appearance?
