UK Delivery Information – Frequently Asked Questions


Free next-day delivery

FREE next-day delivery (Mon-Fri) available on most orders over £500. Some larger items are not eligible for free delivery.

You will receive an email once your order has left our warehouse. Couriers we use for our standard deliveries include DPD and FedEx.


Free delivery within 2-3 working days

FREE standard delivery available on most orders over £50. Some larger items are not eligible for free delivery.

Orders sent on our free delivery service are usually delivered within 2-3 working days, Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm. Some couriers may deliver slightly earlier or later.

You will receive an email once your order has left our warehouse. Couriers we use for our standard deliveries include DPD and FedEx.

Please note: All items require a signature/photo taken upon delivery.
Finance orders will not be dispatched until all items are in stock.
Whilst we will endeavour to get your order to you on time, we're unable to guarantee delivery on a specific date.
If you're ordering for a job or event, please order in plenty of time.

If we have any problems processing your order then dispatch of goods may be delayed; we will always try to contact you to let you know if that happens.


Wex Delivery Promise

We'll always do our best to get your item to you on time, but sometimes things happen that are beyond our control and delays can occur.

If our delivery partner doesn't deliver your goods on time, we'll happily refund you the full cost of your postage.

Just contact our customer service team using our contact form to let them know about the delay and they'll take care of the rest.


Delivery services

Next or named working day* - Delivery by DPD or Fed Ex on the working day of your choice. Deliveries are usually made between 8.00am and 6.00pm. Exclusions apply - see below.

Standard delivery (within 2-3 working days) - Only available on orders under £50. Delivery usually by DPD and usually within 2-3 working days. Deliveries are usually made between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

Free standard delivery (within 2-3 working days) - Only available on orders over £50. Free delivery within 2-3 working days with either DPD or FedEx. Deliveries are usually made between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

Saturday delivery* - Delivery by DPD or Fed EX on the Saturday of your choice. Deliveries are usually made between 7.00am and 2.00pm. Exclusions apply - see below.

Sunday delivery* - Delivery by DPD on the Sunday of your choice. Deliveries are usually made between 9.00am and 2.00pm. Exclusions apply - see below.

Standard remote delivery - In more remote parts of the country delivery may take a little longer.  An indication of how many days delivery may take will be shown at the checkout.

Timed Delivery*

  • Before 10.30am - Delivery by DPD before 10.30am on the working day of your choice.  Exclusions apply - see below.
  • Before Midday - Delivery by DPD or Fed Ex before 12pm on the working day of your choice.  Exclusions apply - see below.


Same-day delivery
- If required, we can arrange same-day delivery by courier to mainland UK addresses for orders placed before 2pm on a business day.  The charge for this service will depend on the delivery address; please call 01603 486413 to request a quotation.

*Premium delivery services (e.g. before 10:30 am and Saturday delivery) are not available for first time orders placed over the telephone. Premium delivery services are also not available to certain postcode areas that include Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Orkney and Shetland Islands, some Western Isles and remote parts of Northern Scotland.


How can I track my order once it's been dispatched?

We will send you an email with tracking information when we ship your order from our warehouse.

If you gave us your mobile phone number and/or email address for delivery updates, and DPD is delivering your order, you will get a message (by SMS and/or email) on the day of delivery with a one hour time slot. 

What happens if I am not available for the delivery?

DPD
You can choose one of the options from the link that DPD sent you by SMS and/or email to tell the driver what to do if you are not home. Otherwise, the courier will leave a card in your door with more instructions on how to get your order if they can’t deliver it.

FedEx
If there is no-one present at the address, FedEx will return the consignment to the depot for re-delivery. They will leave a card indicating that a delivery was attempted. Fedex will attempt to redeliver the order 1-2 times, after which the order will be held at the nearest FedEx depo for a maximum of 5 business days. 

 

What to expect on the day of delivery?

You will have to sign for your order or have a photo taken when it arrives. 

If you gave us your mobile phone number and/or email address for delivery updates, and DPD is delivering your order, you will get a message (by SMS and/or email) on the day of delivery with a one hour time slot. You can tell the driver what to do if you are not home by choosing one of the options via the link in the message. Otherwise, the courier will leave a card in your door with more instructions on how to get your order if they can’t deliver it.

Address Issues/Items not collected

If our carrier is unable to locate your property from the address you provided, via the tracking link you will be able to provide further information to help with the delivery, select a redelivery or collect option you'd prefer. 


Collect in store

If you are local to any of our stores you can order online and choose to collect in-store (available for items that are shown as being in stock only).

Simply select the ‘Collect in store’ option during checkout, choose your nearest Wex store from the drop-down menu and we will ship the order to your chosen store. We will then email you to let you know when your order is ready to pick up. Orders are usually available to collect same day in Norwich and within 2 working day from our other stores.

Your items will be held at your selected Wex Photo Video store for 7 days, after which point, your order will be put back to stock and a refund issued.

Please do not travel to collect your order until you have received a second email from us which advises your order is ready to collect. You will need to bring Photo ID and a copy of the email when you come to collect your order.

International deliveries

With the exception of the Isle of Man addresses, we regret that we are not able to ship to addresses outside the United Kingdom.

Channel Islands

We now offer delivery to the Channel Islands via DPD. Parcels typically take 3-5 days to arrive. Delivery is £14.99 for orders up to £500, and free for orders over £500.

What if an item on my order is out of stock at the time my order is processed?

Note that in-stock items will ship immediately, while out-of-stock items will be dispatched as soon as they become available. The remaining items from your order will follow when they become available (at no extra cost).

When you place an order with us we will pre-authorise the order value on your payment card, however we only capture funds (technical term for taking the money from the payment account) as they are dispatched from our warehouse.

If items take longer than 27 days to come into stock, you will be asked to update your payment information, as the pre-authorisation on your selected payment method would have expired.

Multi-Item Ordering and Fulfilment

When ordering multiple quantities of the same item, your order may be fulfilled from different locations. This means items could be shipped from our warehouse or various stores, depending on stock availability.

As a result, delivery times may vary. Some items may arrive sooner than others, as they may be dispatched separately from different locations. This ensures that available stock is shipped promptly, even if the entire order can't be fulfilled from a single location at once.

About our carriers, packing and packaging

Following customer feedback, we use DPD for most of our consignments aside from large and oversized items which many come via an alternative carrier.

We will do everything we can to ensure your parcel arrives safely and in a timely manner. We take particular care to ensure that goods are well packaged and use recycled packaging and/or biodegradable materials wherever we can.
