Expanded Ilford Delta 400 Professional 35 mm (36 Exposure) Key Features:

ISO 400

This is a medium speed film with an exposure rating of ISO 400. ISO is a measurement of film’s sensitivity to light, and the lower it is, the lower the sensitivity is. ISO 400 is a medium speed, meaning not very slow or not very fast, allowing both low light shots and fast action to be captured by fast shutter speeds, retaining the fine grain structure.

Core-Shell Emulsion Technology

The Delta Professional films by Ilford use the Core-Shell emulsion technology giving an advantage of lower grain to speed ratio. This helps present a cleaner and sharper look, with less grain at a fast shutter speed.

Broad Exposure Range

The speed rating of the Delta Professional film is ISO 400/27-degree to daylight, but its versatility is offered by a broad exposure range of ISO 200/24 to ISO 1600/33. This exposure latitude produces good results even in good lighting conditions and any error can be corrected while developing the film.

The Versatility of Using Filters

This film can be used with all kinds of filters such as ND filters, polarising or colour filters. Cameras that have through-the-lens metering can automatically adjust the exposure while using filters. In some automatic exposure cameras, the correction given for deep red and orange filters can produce negatives that are underexposed by 1-and-half stops.
