Utilising deep learning technology, the OM-1 Mark II’s AI Detection Autofocus has improved to recognise a wide range of subjects, including humans, race cars, motorcycles, aeroplanes, helicopters, trains, birds, dogs, and cats. The Subject Selection feature has improved beyond the established Face / Eye Priority Focus and now accurately identifies subjects, even in challenging positions or obscured views. The viewfinder also includes an anti-fogging coating to maintain a clear field of view, even in rainy weather. The 5.76 million-dot viewfinder provides high resolution with a 0.83x magnification, minimal display delay of 0.005 seconds, and a fast 120 fps display. These features offer optical viewfinder-like clarity, especially in low-light conditions, allowing users to preview images before capturing them.

With expanded buffer memory, the Mark II can capture 219 frames in JPEG or 213 frames in RAW at 120 fps, more than double the original 92 frames. Additionally, it supports 14-bit RAW in High-Res Mode, an upgrade from the previous 12-bit.
