How to Use The Profoto L1600D

High output mono-LED

The Profoto L1600D is designed for efficient use on busy sets. Thanks to Profoto’s HydroCTech cooling system, which includes two 140mm silent fans, it has an impressive power-to-weight ratio that offers excellent performance despite its size. It ensures pure light for maximum light shaping possibilities, harnessing 97% of electricity from input to output, a quarter of a loss compared to other lighting solutions with ballast and head.

Flexible light shaping for unmatched creativity

Designed for cinematic light shaping, the Profoto L1600D has dual mounting options to expand its compatibility with light modifiers. The L1600D can be used with Profoto and Bowens mounts, allowing access to a broader range of reflectors, softboxes, barn doors, and more. For more control over light position, the L1600D is equipped with a newly designed yoke with swivel functionality, providing freedom of movement when during setup.

Enhance your lighting with the Profoto BoostReflector

A Profoto BoostReflector is included with the L1600D, allowing you to maximise your mono-LED's power and light throw. The BoostReflector features a deep profile and high-gloss interior to offer a lot of power when diffusing light or bouncing it off a surface. It creates a focused 12° beam and when used with the L1600D, it gives 49,000 lux at five metres. It comes with a soft bag for protection during storage and transport.

The Profoto L1600D is IP54-rated for robust protection against dust and water sprays. Therefore, the L1600D can withstand light dust and water and is suitable for use outside but should not be exposed to harsher weather conditions.

Buy now pay later

The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.

During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.

Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
