“Wex has been an integral part of my photographic journey from a very early stage. From sourcing information, finding inspiration and purchasing equipment, I have been using Wex to help facilitate my growth for many years. When I began working with Wex a few years ago, providing tutorials and leading workshops, it felt like a natural collaboration. The fact an organisation that I had long admired was now working with me filled me with so much joy. The opportunity to work even more closely with the team as an ambassador is an honour to say the least. I look forward to helping facilitate the growth of other photographers, in the same way that Wex did for me.”

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which photographer/filmmaker most inspires you, and why?
-
There are many photographers who have inspired me over the years and the list continues to get longer. Some of my favourites are Vivian Maier, Alex Webb, Steve McCurry and Saul Leiter. There is also a lot of new talent that is blowing me away right now, including Misan Harriman and Reuben Wu. Their work is definitely worth exploring.
- What is your most memorable shooting experience?
-
I once heard that photography is the world’s best visa, as you often get invited to corners of life that you would never have experienced otherwise. There are so many fond memories that come with that, so it’s difficult to choose. I did however thoroughly enjoy photographing life in Morocco and the Sahara Desert. Working on the British Vogue September Issue front cover was also definitely a career highlight that I will cherish from the remainder of my life.
- What one piece of advice would you offer to people starting out in your industry?
-
Learn, practise, share your work, genuinely connect with people and repeat. All of these aspects are incredibly important to growing as a photographer. Be obsessive about it.
- What is the best shooting tip you've ever received?
-
One of the best tips I received was to be yourself and show that through your work. Don’t chase trends. Your experience of life is unique and this is what will make your work stand out.
